What a difference a day makes …

March 10, 2017 – Today is the day we turned our keys over to the new owner of our home. We have spent the last 9 months totally consumed in decluttering, listing, showing and selling our home. Every day off was spent planning for this one day. The 10th of the month seems to be a significant day of the month for us. May 10 (2010) we closed on the purchase of our home. July 10 (2016) we made the decision to sell our home. And today, March 10th we handed our keys to 2 amazing people who will now move into their new home and start their own memories there.

After closing today we both found ourselves unable to form complete sentences and very tired. We realized it was a complete and total release of stress. We didn’t realize until it was gone just how much stress we’ve really been under. Thank God we’ve been married 25 years. We both just knew what the other was trying to say. Tonight, we celebrated with a pound of crack. LOL Ok, that sounds bad to people who don’t know really what I’m talking about.

We have this addiction to Rotisserie Chicken Salad. It’s darn expensive so we refer to it as our “chicken crack”. And that is what we celebrated with tonight. We are simple people! There may have been a glass of wine and a bottle of beer involved in that celebration too. One step closer to Opting Out Of Normal!
